Field Mechanic
Diamond D Industries is seeking an experienced In-Field / Field Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a critical position in our daily operations, supporting both our shop and job sites by keeping equipment and trucks running safely and efficiently.
Position Overview
This role involves working out of our shop as well as traveling job site to job site to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and heavy equipment
• Travel to job sites to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Communicate repair needs and solutions clearly with operations staff
• Maintain service records and follow safety procedures
• Support shop operations when not in the field
Qualifications
• Strong mechanical experience with trucks and equipment
• Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required)
• Strong work ethic and reliability are a must
