Summary of Responsibilities
Provides support for and is a member of the Mobile Crisis Response Team (M-CeRT).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Triage crisis calls from family members, individuals in crisis, community members, and others to assess the need for mobile crisis response or de-escalation and follow-up referral via phone.
- Provides face-to-face assessment within 2 hours of initial contact when deemed appropriate.
- Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
- Provides assessments, individual, group, and family therapy in compliance with DMH standards.
- Meets with local community agencies to market program and how to access services.
- Provide mobile crisis response services within the Region for residents referred by 988 and law enforcement.
- Arrange for safe transport to the CSU or other appropriate receiving facility when needed.
- Attends and participates appropriately in clinical staffings.
- Serves on / work with the M-CeRT team when assigned.
- Utilize DMH approved data submission technology to report on requested mobile crisis response data.
- Submit daily through the WITS Crisis Module
- Maintains case record documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete, and timely.
- Monitors and reviews program case records for compliance with DMH standards.
- Maintains complete and accurate records of crisis program activities. Submits monthly reports to the Department of Mental Health as required by the M-CeRT grant.
- Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.
- Seeks professional certification and/or licensure and clinical training opportunities.
- Participates in interagency collaboration for the provision of client services when assigned.
Education and Qualification Requirements
Required
- Master’s degree in behavioral science or related field.
- Clinical Licensure or DMH certification in the field serviced
Preferred
- Previous experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working with an IDD population in a treatment setting strongly preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site.
- Satisfactory completion of CPI within 30 days of employment.
- Valid driver’s license and current auto liability insurance.
- Ability to transport clients in private vehicle when necessary.
- Completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
